American Kennel Club (AKC) S.T.A.R. PUPPY PROGRAM:

The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppysm is a program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. It is a program that includes lots of socialization and some of the basic skills you will want your puppy to learn. In addition, there will be weekly discussions of training issues that often arise with puppies.

Schedule: Classes are going to be held on Wednesday evenings

from 6-7 P.M. All classes are at WAG! in downtown Hendersonville.

COST: $70

Dates: February 8th: Informational session & registration

Training Classes: February 15, 22, 29; March 7, 14, 21

STAR PUPPY TESTING: March 28

*Handlers under the age of 16 must obtain prior approval of the instructors.

Small children should be left at home, for it is important to focus on your dog!

We have found that they are often quite distracting during our classes.

If an additional family member does accompany you, he/she may want to bring a lightweight fold-up chair.

THANK YOU!

Other News:

Wag! has two beautiful Catahoula Leopard Dogs up for adoption.

Luna is an approximately one and a half year old spayed female.  She is great with all other animals, but still a little shy around people.  She is very attentive to her family and needs to live in a house with a fenced yard.  She will be fine off-leash, if monitored.  Luna is extremely affectionate and cuddly.

Baron is probably about six years old.  He is very calm and loving.  He’s an easy keeper and is pretty much ready to go.  He’s a lazy, lounger, but is still up for adventures.  He is great on the car and on a leash.

For more information about either dog, please reply to this email.

As always, please “like” us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @wagpet.

Thank you very much for your business!
